Intra-faith Dialogue Opportunities
Islamic University of Minnesota is committed to Intra Faith religious dialogue and has played a strong
leadership role in building bridges of understanding and exploration between the four different Madhabs (Schools of thought) and their scholarship.
IUM frequently hosts well known scholars who are experts in the four Madhabs.
IUM students are always welcome to attend such intra-faith workshops, seminars and related events and discussions.
IUM offers a Lecture Series program which hosts distinguished guests from around the world,
speaking on a range of contemporary and historical topics. In doing this, IUM creates opportunities
for the respectful and intelligent sharing of ideas. These informative and in depth discussions and
events are open to the public and free of charge. Students are especially encouraged to attend.
Special Events: IUM hosts several special events throughout the year, such as community dinners,
workshops, cultural events and more. Students are welcome to attend.
IUM hosts several workshops on a variety of topics throughout the year. A popular recurring workshop is the ‘Islamic Will’
workshop. Such workshops are open to students, community, and the public. Registration for workshops can be made online.
Students may apply for any of our Volunteer and/ or Internship Opportunities at IUM.
Opportunities provide students with a chance to engage in hands on experience, network with community leaders,
scholars, faith communities, and socio-cultural organizations. This helps students cultivate leadership skills while making a positive
impact upon the wider society. Please visit any of the Help Desks in Bloomington, Minnetonka or St. Paul or the main Office in Minneapolis.
